Injury Prevention & Longevity for Jiu Jitsu

A practical online course to help instructors, coaches, and athletes reduce preventable injuries, manage them appropriately, and keep training for years to come.

The Problem

Every academy experiences injuries, some are unavoidable, but many injuries aren't.

Most instructors have extensive knowledge of Jiu Jitsu technique but little formal education on:

  • Why common injuries occur
  • How to identify high-risk situations
  • What to tell an injured student
  • When someone should seek medical care
  • How to safely return to training

Without that knowledge, small injuries often become bigger problems.

Why I Created This Course

For years I've taught healthcare professionals how to evaluate and treat injured Jiu Jitsu athletes.

One thing became obvious:

Athletes and instructors were asking many of the same questions.

Rather than waiting until someone gets injured, I wanted to create a resource that helps prevent unnecessary injuries in the first place.

This course bridges the gap between sports medicine and everyday coaching—giving instructors practical knowledge they can apply immediately in their academies.

What You'll Walk Away With

After completing this course, you'll be able to:

  • Better recognize how injuries happen before they occur.
  • Make informed decisions when coaching students through training.
  • Give appropriate guidance after an injury.
  • Create a safer training environment without changing the essence of Jiu Jitsu.
  • Help yourself and your students stay on the mats longer.
