Treating the Jiu Jitsu Athlete

I am looking for REHAB professionals, particularly PHYSICAL THERAPISTS and ATHLETIC TRAINERS, who are SERIOUS about specializing in JIU JITSU REHAB

People aiming to help their Jiu Jitsu clients to recover rapidly, minimize downtime, and swiftly return to the mats.

People who respect that the unique demands of Jiu Jitsu athletes surpass the traditional physical therapy skillset they learned in school.

Become an EXPERT in Jiu Jitsu Rehabilitation.

This is an online course for physical therapists (PTs) and athletic trainers (ATCs) who wish to get a better understanding of working with combat athletes.

White Belt - Foundation in Jiu-Jitsu: Introduce the basics of Jiu-Jitsu, focusing on the sport’s unique physical demands. Here, PTs start their journey by understanding the foundational elements of the sport.

Blue Belt - Injury Identification and Trends: Dive into common injuries specific to Jiu-Jitsu athletes, learning to identify and understand injury patterns and trends in the sport.

Purple Belt - Rehabilitation Techniques: Introduce specialized rehabilitation techniques tailored for Jiu-Jitsu athletes. Focus on sport-specific rehabilitation methods that differentiate from general physical therapy practices.

Brown Belt - Return to Sport Strategies: Focus on strategies and best practices for safely guiding athletes back to training and competition, emphasising injury prevention and performance optimization.

What People Are Saying:

As a PT myself, I'm very impressed with the course after getting through a few modules! Definitely recommend to other PTs interested in treating grapplers

Finished up this excellent course from Mike! I remember in my early years as a PT when I'd get a few patients who trained in karate, kungfu, and jiu jitsu (Especially when I was in Hawaii) and they were stoked to have a therapist that understood their martial arts practice! And it's so much more popular now. It's vitally important that you get a rehab provider that understands the needs of your particular sport/activity. And if you are that provider you are doing your patient a disservice if you aren't learning what you can do help them succeed in their return to sport. This course won't make you a black belt in BJJ but it will be of massive benefit for understanding that context of what the combat sport patient requires and help you have a better informed plan and tactics for their rehab. Awesome job being a pioneer in this front Mike!
